‘There were a lot of hopes, he is heartbroken’, says Rinku Singh’s father
The BCCI on Tuesday announced India's 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup. The main squad did not feature Rinku as he had been included in the team as a reserve player.
Indian star cricketer, Rishabh Pant after he sustained injury in a road mishap early morning on Friday. According to an update by the honorary secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, (BCCI), Jay Shah, Pant is undergoing scans.
The left-handed wicketkeeper batsman met a severe road accident when he was returning from Delhi to Roorkee. The car, in which he was travelling collided with the divider on the Narsan border of Roorkee near Hammadpur Jhal.
Rishabh has been admitted to Dehradun’s Max Hospital after being initially taken to Saksham Hospital.
Jay Shah took to twitter and disclosed Rishabh’s current status. He tweeted “My thoughts and prayers are with Rishabh Pant as he fights his way back to recovery.

I have spoken to his family and the doctors treating him. Rishabh is stable and undergoing scans. We are closely monitoring his progress and will provide him with all the necessary support.”
His fans and fraternity alike, conveyed their prayers for the speedy recovery of the star Indian Wicketkeeper. Pant was a part of India’s test squad against Bangladesh and played a major role in India’s 2-0 series win against the hosts.
He is not included into the Indian squad for home series against Sri Lanka. Pant needs to report to NCA for strength and conditioning training ahead of Border-Gavaskar Trophy in the month of February.
